Rylan Harrison, B.S.,QMHP, 200-CYT is a native of the Washington, D.C area and has resided in the
Hampton Roads area since 2010 after receiving her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Old
Dominion University in 2008. While at ODU, Rylan began practicing yoga to maintain clarity in life,
balance stress and restore her health from the inside out. She immediately fell in love with the relationship
that is built between the body, mind and the breath through daily practice. Upon completing her 200 hour
yoga instructor training with Zenya Yoga Academy, Rylan embarked on mission to bring the beauty of
yoga to underserved populations and those who experienced mental illness. In 2020, Rylan expanded her
practice to facilitating yoga experiences for high school and collegiate athletes to assist in enhancing their
performance and aiding in their recovery. During this expansion, she was able to not only prepare athletes
for competition physically, but build up their mental resiliency and enhance their relationship with their
body. Rylan has 12 years of experience assisting youth and adults in their journey towards healing and
balancing the mind and body. Rylan believes that practicing yoga allows peace and flexibility to flow
through the mind and body to assist in the tasks of daily life. "My practice has helped me grow stronger,
more flexible and fearless and inspires me to live each day in the present moment."
